Black Forest Christian Fellowship has been part of the English-language community of Kandern, Germany and the surrounding area for over 25 years.
BFCF has been very closely associated with the Black Forest Academy (BFA) for many years. In fact we began as a way for BFA to provide Sunday morning fellowship and worship for the staff and students of this school. As time went on other English-speaking families living in the Kandern area began to take part in the services as well. In recent years a number of other English-speaking internationals from the surrounding areas of the Black Forest; Basel, Switzerland; and the French Alsace have made BFCF their church home.
Do you know or love MKs and TCKs? Would you like to better understand why they are the way they are in order to guide them better? On Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 19:30, Michele Phoenix will be giving a session at BFA (JB 31), outlining the "Five Cs That Define MKs."
This is more than a talk about TCK identity. Confusion, grief, needlessness, faith distortion... It will outline the influences that shape them, the resulting strengths and challenges, and lead into a discussion about how best to mentor them. Any adult in community with MKs and TCKs is invited to attend this informative session.
To ensure that enough materials are printed, please RSVP to Bonnie Moore (firstname.lastname@example.org)...but if you forget to RSVP, come anyway! Coffee provided.
NOTE: This is the same session Michele gave last year at ICEC and at the TeachBeyond orientation. ... See MoreSee Less

Here's an excerpt from an exciting update from Susan Storter on Jim's progress:
Well give our God glory because Jim walked today - I wasn't there to witness it but the nurse told me about it - he went outside for a walk using a walker. And I gather he's eating pudding. Forgive the blow by blow updates but I am excited and God is good! :) Planning to be there first thing in the AM tomorrow to get in on therapy -- this afternoon we had a great time of outside prayer and Bible study together. ...
